Cozumel isn’t cheap, and the cruise crowds are real, but the snorkelling and wild side of the island are out of this world. Rent a buggy, drive the coast, and unwind.
I loved reading this!!! ❤️💕💕 As a Cozumel resident, it's cool to see our home through your eyes. We live in El Cedral and heartily agree the wild side and the sea are the best parts, though we do also have beautiful forested area behind San Gervaisio and there are Mayan sweat lodges and camping areas there too. The cruise ships and overdevelopment...well. Yeah. You can guess how I feel about it.
I’m so glad you liked it! I have a feeling we could spend quite a while there and there would still be so much to discover. It truly is a beautiful part of the world 🗺️
Haha oh yes, the potholes! There are some real craters, and speed bumps that appear out of nowhere. I did the scooter once too and appreciated not having to turtle everything around on my back this time. 😄 Plus, that last little stretch when you come into the traffic of San Miguel is hair-raising on two wheels.
