Not all friendships are meant to run at full volume forever — and that’s okay. Here’s what I’ve learned about letting go of convenience-based connections with gratitude, not guilt.
Nice perspective on friendships. As a nomad, there will always be those "goodbyes" or "until next times". Not every friendship lasts forever. There are those that survive the changes in your lives and the geographical separation. And others don't. But there's nothing wrong with that. As Mariza says in her comment, "gates" instead of "walls" resonated with me, too.
Sometimes romanticize friendship like our actually romances by thinking they will last forever. Me, personally, I just have a hard time letting go. However the friendship that have lasted are definitely based in shared values. But as you said, we evolve as does what we value and therefore our friends. I loved what you said about "gates" instead of "walls". I need to practice that. 💗

Thank you for sharing that, and you're right -- our values definitely evolve as we learn and grow. We can practice together!
