There’s a wall many sovereign business owners run into a few years into working for ourselves, and it has nothing to do with finding clients.
You’ve found them. You’re booked. The calendar’s full, the rate is fair. The issue is that there’s simply no more of you to sell.
As a very first move, you might charge more, tighten your scope, and stop absorbing the low-value work you've been doing for free. Sometimes breaking the income ceiling means you refuse to sell your cheapest hours anymore. It costs nothing to try, and when it isn't enough, you'll know… and you'll be standing at the fork with better numbers.
From there, the advice you’ll get is often the same: leverage what you already know. Scale what you’re good at. Make something that earns while you’re not in the room. Good advice, as far as it goes.
But where do you go from there? What kind of leverage are you signing up for?
