Write like a thoughtful adult speaking to other thoughtful adults.
Submission Guidelines
Before pitching, please:
Read at least three recent articles to understand our tone.
Submit a short pitch (200–300 words) outlining:
Your proposed topic
Why it matters to midlife readers
Your personal connection to it
Include links to previous writing (if available).
We rarely accept fully written, unsolicited drafts.
Editorial Guidelines
800–1,200 words preferred
Clear structure with logical subheadings
First-person voice encouraged
100% original and unpublished
No promotional or affiliate links (if unsure, ask)
Clean, concise writing — no filler
Quality matters more than length.
Editorial Process
If your pitch is accepted:
You’ll receive feedback and light editorial revisions.
We reserve the right to adjust headlines and formatting.
All content must be original and unpublished elsewhere.
We request first-publication rights for two weeks. After that, you’re welcome to republish your piece on your website, social media, or portfolio with clear attribution and a link back to Midlife Nomads as the original publisher.
We aim to maintain a thoughtful, cohesive voice across the publication.
