Shelling Peanuts, Hoi An, Vietnam

The pace of life in Hoi An, Vietnam is very different, life is simple and uncomplicated. The rest of the world is so quick to rush headlong towards mechanisation and convenience. I think we lose sight of the simple ways and the benefits that it come with them.

Here an elderly lady shells peanuts with a family member, they squat chatting and laughing while they work. I wonder if grabbing a packet of peanuts at a grocery store makes your life richer or in fact poorer.
